Did you know that 85% of all trained pastors leave the ministry field within the first five years of ministry? At CCV, we have a developed a program to change this.
The Leadership Institute's Residency Program trains competent church leaders for longevity. It addresses the most dangerous deficiencies for ministry leaders by providing hands-on training in the ten competency areas that cannot be taught effectively in a classroom.
In addition, residents have three layers of mentorship, allowing us to provide an unprecedented 1:6 student/coach ratio. Upon completion, participants have the tools necessary to be a well-equipped leader prepared for a lifetime of ministry service.
CCV’s partnerships with Christian universities allow qualified residents to complete their undergraduate degree, or earn a master’s degree, in conjunction with their residency training.
Each resident is enrolled in seven general leadership competencies, and selects an individualized field emphasis for the remaining three competencies. The individual areas for field emphasis are: Children & Family, Church Administration, Church Planting, Inter-Cultural Studies, Pastoral, Special Needs, Sports, Youth, and Worship.
Each competency provides real-world project-based training by qualified CCV staff and members. Our custom assessment program provides coaches a platform to score residents on performance throughout the residency.
