Premarital Class
Love and Respect Building Blocks is the title of our new premarital class. This class goes straight to the heart of crucial issues that face marriages today. You will learn simple, yet profound Biblical truths that will help you transition from "single" to "married" with grace.
This class will be offered on a quarterly basis. Class meets in Palo Verde I on Friday, 6:00 to 9:00 pm and Saturday, 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.
Attending both days is a requirement for completion. Class size is limited.
Dinner on Friday and breakfast on Saturday will be provided.
The cost is $150 per couple and covers class materials.
The class includes a video series, presentations, and group discussions. The materials include workbooks, online personality assessment and a covenant marriage handbook. This class must be completed prior to be married at CCV or by a CCV Pastor.
Premarital Coaching
Premarital Coaches are couples with healthy marriages who have a desire to share their marriage experience with premarital couples. Coaches attend a quarterly premarital class, facilitate group discussion and coordinate follow up with premarital couples.
Wedding Ceremony
Setting The Date
The wedding ceremony should be scheduled well in advance of the intended date. A minimum of six (6) months is recommended. This allows sufficient time for attending the Premarital class, coaching and to schedule the facilities and pastor. Reservations for Peoria & Surprise Campus facilities are on a first-come basis. Reservations must be accompanied with a completed
Bride & Groom Questionnaire
and deposit.
The Bride will receive confirmation of the rehearsal date, time, and location, and the wedding date, time, and location. Cancellation or postponement of the wedding must be submitted in writing to the Wedding Ministry at least one (1) month prior to the confirmed date or the entire registration deposit may be forfeited.
Facility Use
Weddings may only be scheduled on Friday evenings due to our services on Saturday and Sunday. In addition, church policy only allows us to host a wedding at CCV for our members.
The use of CCV facilities on the day of the wedding is limited to 3 hours unless a reception is also booked, then another 2 hours is added to your time. For example; if your wedding is at 6:00, you would have the facility from 4:30 - 7:30 pm.
If you also book a reception, the time would be extended to 9:30.
Rehearsals are the day before the wedding(Thursday), usually at 6:00 pm and last 45-60 minutes.
All guests are encouraged to respect our church home. No tobacco or alcohol use is permitted anywhere in the buildings or on the grounds. Only flower petals, wedding bubbles or dove releases are permitted. Each item must be individually packaged and distributed outside only.
