Baptism

Express your faith through baptism! If you have received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and would like to be baptized, register online for the next Baptism date. If you have already been baptized, be sure to stop by and encourage those who have decided to take this important next step.

Once you start your lifelong adventure with Christ, baptism by immersion is a tangible way of showing your new commitment. Just like a wedding ring signifies a marriage, the act of baptism signifies a life change and acceptance of Jesus into your life. Find out what the Bible teaches about baptism at the next Starting Point.

CCV recognizes baptism as a total immersion, rather than a christening or partial immersion. Total immersion represents the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Full immersion baptism also fulfills part of the membership process at CCV.

So why wait? CCV offers monthly baptism ceremonies at both locations to demonstrate your new life in Christ.

Are there any prerequisites for Baptism?

Jr High and High School Age: In order to be baptized, all youth must complete Starting Point or meet with the Jr. High or Sr. High campus pastor. This is done prior to the baptism so that the student fully understand the decision that he or she is making. Even though the student is baptized, he or she will not become a CCV member until completing Starting Point.

Children Grade 4-6: Starting Point for Students is a recommended class for students to attend with their parents in order to be baptized. If the child is under the age of 8 it is suggested that he or she meet with a pastor before being baptized. This is suggested so that the child will fully understand the decision he or she is making.
