StreetLight, a program to rescue children who have been forced into prostitution was formed in January 2009. The organization plans to acquire 40 acres in Maricopa County to build transition housing for children being rescued from exploitation. The homes will provide a secure environment for the children to heal. CCV has committed to a financial sponsorship for this vision to become reality.
Larrie Fraley, associate pastor at CCV and President of StreetLight, said, “Acting together, churches have the resources to end one of the darkest social and moral issues in our society. It is time for our churches to lead the fight against this plague!”
"Currently, there are 28 churches, and growing in the Phoenix valley teaming up for this cause. CCV believes so strongly in this social injustice, they have dedicated staff and funds to get StreetLight up and running as a live, active force in the dark streets of our city. For CCV, supporting Streetlight and its efforts was one of their main goals for 2009."
